I thought it was about time I shared with you my current favourite make up bits, considering it's been a little while since I last posted about what I've been loving. After certain articles have popped up this week online regarding Youtubers, make up, role models etc etc I felt more determined than usual to write the most beauty-heavy, make up focused post. I've had loads of criticism in the past and still sometimes now about the fact that I wear make up all the time and talk about it often, and I get really fed up with some people assuming that it's all there is to me! Many women have always worn make up, from the Egyptians to Elizabeth I and I'm pretty sure that no one accused them of being shallow (obvs I wasn't there but you get the point I hope), it's just a way of making your self feel the best you can and the most important point that people seem to miss is that we wear it for ourselves and not for anyone else! I love watching Youtubers, and I'm pretty sure that there's a lot worse out there than them in terms of 'role models'!
Rant over..phew! Back to the actual post!
Clinique Even Better Foundation: This is an old favourite that I have rediscovered, I picked it out when I fancied a more dewy look and I quickly remembered why I love it so much. The natural yet medium coverage it provides is good for those days when my skin is looking alright but could do with brightening up a bit, and the finish is a healthy looking glow.
Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Bronzing Veil: I have raved about this bronzer enough this week, but it really is a winner when it comes to giving a healthy pop of colour to my cheeks, as well as highlighting my cheekbones and helping with that good old contouring process.
Maybelline Color Drama lip pencil in Keep It Classy: I am wearing this in my last post, and I love the berry shade which isn't too dark that it makes me look even paler, but is deep enough to create the perfect autumn look.
Zoeva Rose Golden Brush Set: No words needed here I don't think! I love having these brushes in my life, from their gorgeous rose gold design to the actual quality of them and how easy they make applying make up - if you are going to splurge on anything, make it these!
What have you been loving this week? xx

The brush set it absolutely beautiful, it really upsets me the people who criticise it- they are the sort of people who have nothing nice to say about anyone xx

I've seen lots of posts this week about embracing the love of makeup but I'm not sure where the criticism started from? Is it someone who posted a video or post about it?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm pretty tempted to buy the Keep it Classy crayon, but it's so expensive here in France! It's like €12, whereas in Canada I'm pretty sure it retails for around $10! Oh the joys of currency!
The zoeva brushes look gorgeous x
