FOREVER FAVOURITES

Hey, hope you have had a lovely weekend!  I was working all day yesterday so made the most of it today by doing a bit of shopping and taking the dog for a long sunny walk with the boyfriend.  The lighter evenings mean that I can come home later and do some blog photos in natural light - yay - so that's exactly what I did!  Today I chose a few products which are favourites of mine that always seem to beat any other products I try, and ones that I end up repurchasing more than once.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water:  I have lost count how many times I have repurchased this product now, I bought it again yesterday (buy 1 get 1 free in Sainsburys FYI) and my skin really seems to love it.  I have tried a couple of other micellar waters, including the one by Garnier which I do like as well, but this L'Oreal one just really suits my skin and leaves it feeling really clean and completely free of make up.  I use it to remove all of my make up, minus mascara if I'm wearing waterproof, and then go over once more with a little more on a cotton pad just to make sure everything is off.  It leaves my skin clean and soft, ready for me to put on the rest of my skincare products that I use in the evening.

Barry M Glitter Polish in Rose Quartz:  I love to use this glitter top coat along the tops of my nails for a sparkly twist on french tips.  I love the pink and rose gold colours in it, and whenever I wear it I get lots of compliments on my nails!  This one I have now is over half empty so I'm going to have to repurchase it soon!

Benefit High Beam Highlighter:  I have raved about this little beaut loads of times on here before, so I won't go into a review all over again.  It's my go to highlighter as the iridescent pink glow really perks up my skin and fakes a healthy, radiant sheen.

Clinique Even Better Foundation:  I think this foundation is pretty underrated, but it has one of the best finishes in my opinion.  It has the dewy look nailed, and it's medium buildable coverage hides any pesky spots but still looks totally natural.  It also contains spf, which is always a big plus - not so great for photos but protecting your skin comes first!

Revlon Matte Balm Stain in Unapologetic:  Trust me, this shade is perrrrrrfection!  The colour itself is very similar to MAC Impassioned, which is another favourite of mine, and it's just incredibly flattering and bright.  The crayon style of it makes it very easy to apply, and you can create a neater shape around your lips than you would with a regular lipstick.

MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara:  Another product that I never seem to shut up about!  The length and volume this mascara adds to my lashes really is second to none, and the waterproof version is the same if not better because it seems to hold a curl for longer.  If you haven't tried this already, then I really recommend that you do!  I reckon I will be forever repurchasing this, I buy new mascaras all the time to try and hardly any have ever come close to it.

Moroccan Oil:  This product was only bought again yesterday, after I took to twitter to ask if it was worth the splurge!  Every reply I got said 100% yes, so I went into the salon I picked it up.  I have used a sample sized bottle of it before, but my hair was in such desperate need of a cut that I didn't see too much difference.  However, I used it last night after washing my hair and already I can tell a huge difference in hoe my hair both looks and feels.  It probably sounds like I am exaggerating  because I have only just used it once, but my hair today is looking better than it has done in a very long time!

So those are some of my all time favourites!  Do you have any that are the same as me or have you got some other gems to recommend? xx

  1. I can't believe I've yet to try that Max Factor mascara! So many people talk about it, and yet, I still stupidly walk past the max factor mascaras every time and head to the l'oreal counter. Must make mental note to stop at MF next time! :P xx
