AUTUMN BRIGHTS.

As much as I love autumn and all the warm neutral colours that come with it, I cannot give up my bright make up that easily.  I've picked out some of my favourite bits that I've been wearing lately to brighten up my look (and photographed it on my new grey carpet which I am IN LOVE with).

Early starts on cold mornings call for a good blusher to make me look a little more alive than I'm actually feeling, and my go-to right now is Benefit Sugarbomb which is an all time favourite.  The four orange/red shades combine to give a bright warm glow and the finish is ever so slightly shimmery, which helps to give a little sheen to the cheeks.
MAC Full Fuchsia is a beautiful bright magenta pink lipstick that I pretty much wore non-stop throughout summer, and there's no sign of me putting it away anytime soon.  I find it such a flattering shade, it went well when I had a (fake) tan and it looks just as good now that I'm back to a ghostly shade of pale.
My holy grail drugstore brand for lips is obviously Maybelline, I've made that clear in roughly 543535 posts by now, and lately I love In With Coral which is a bright (almost neon) pink.  It is an unusual shade to associate with wearing at this time of year, but it works well when worn with black and compliments black liner too.
The Make Up Revolution Iconic 3 palette has so many shades to play around with, but I've been going for the darker and purple colours in it lately to create smokey eye looks.  I think burgundy eyes are so dramatic and flattering on any eye colour, and I can't wait for party season so I can experiment with looks even more.
Last up, I've been loving dark pink nail polish lately and predictably, my favourite is from Barry M - the shade Pomegranate.  From the Gelly range, it has a high shine finish and the deep but bright pink is perfect for autumn/winter and goes so well with all my darker outfits.

What have you been loving so far this autumn?  Do you go for brights this season or do you favour the neutrals instead? xx

  1. I love Sugarbomb! The colours are gorgeous, but I am a Coralista fan more. The Maybelline pencil looks lovely too! :)

  3. I love deep pink during Autumn, but I have to admit that I tend to wear more berry and burgundy tones at this time of the year. Having said that makeup is just makeup and you can wear whatever you like :) I also have that Maybelline Lip Pencil but now is hidden behind my other shades and it's waiting for next Summer :) x
