FAVOURITES WEEK | DRUGSTORE SKIN CARE

So I know that all my other 'favourites week' posts were posted last week, and this one is very much being posted this week, but last week got rather hectic and being a disorganised blogger (again) I hadn't written this post up or scheduled it!  However, that doesn't make any of these drugstore skin care products any less important, and once again it was hard to sort through my hoard and pick out the ones that I love the most.

My favourite drugstore cleanser has to be Nivea Sensitive Cleansing Milk, just because it does exactly what it says; it removes my make up thoroughly whilst not irritating or drying out my skin - plus it has the classic Nivea smell which I have always loved!
I'm always moaning about how dry my lips get in summer as well as winter, which is why I never leave home without a little pot of Carmex in my bag.  This is far more effective than any other budget lip balm I have tried, especially the chap stick style ones; it relies dryness almost as soon as I apply it, and it helps to heal and rehydrate my lips quickly without leaving that horrible thick, sticky texture that you can sometimes get with various other brands.
Super Facialist Vitamin C Glow Boost Skin Serum has been a staple in my skincare routine for a while now, I use it before moisturiser in the morning and it leaves my skin with a natural, lit from within healthy glow, which is the perfect base for make up.  It sinks in super quickly, and I love that it doesn't even feel like I have applied it - it is so light and quick to absorb.
My favourite moisturiser for the last few months has been Superdrug Vitamin E day cream with spf 15.  This is an absolute bargain at under £4, it has the all-important spf in it and it is perfectly lightweight for my oily combination skin.  Again, this absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling nourished and ready for make up to be applied.
Simple Rapid Action Spot Zapper is a roll on spot treatment that is applied just to the problem area.  I was really surprised to find that this reduced the redness of my most annoying spots very quickly, and the thin clear formula means I can carry it in my bag and apply it whenever without worrying about it leaving any residue on my skin.  I really love how well this works and see no reason why I would ever have to switch to another kind of treatment - my spots are usually hormonal or self inflicted (drinking lots of water is so hard!), so I cannot say whether it would have any kind of impact on more acne-like spots.
Another favourite Vitamin E cream is Boots Vitamin E Gentle Eye Cream spf 15.  I love how gentle this is under my eyes, and it leaves the whole area feeling soft and protected - it's the perfect additional protection when used with my moisturiser.

There really are so many more products that I could have picked, but as before I chose the things that I repurchase and reach for the most!  Do you love any of these? xx
