#BLOGGERPROBLEMS

The blogging world has become pretty darn huge in the last few years, especially the beauty blogger section, but I've found that in general daily life there are actually few people I know who know that this world exists; and this is why I can count on one hand the amount of people who know about my blog!  There are certain things that only fellow bloggers seem to understand, so even though I'm really proud of my blog and love putting loads of time into it, I've refrained from shouting it about in real life simply because I cannot be bothered to go through and explain the whole concept of beauty blogging etc! So, I've decided to have a light hearted little rant about the things that only beauty bloggers understand -  #bloggerprobs if you will.  Let me know if you can relate to any of these too!

1. We've all been asked 'why would you spend that much money on make up?!' at some point, and each time I am I respond with my best eye-roll and shoot back (depending on the person) 'why do you spend so much on tobacco/alcohol/games*/your stamp collection**?'.
*Except The Sims. The Sims is awesome.
**I couldn't think of anything else.

2. The idea that you must be rather shallow if you love wearing make up so much.  Ummmm no.  My enjoyment of make up does not mean I don't also have room in my head to enjoy other things such as history, photography and Harry Potter thank you very much.

3.When you've been shopping, bought a lot of exciting new make up bits to try out and can't use any of it until you've taken a photograph of it for your blog.  So frustrating but so necessary.  Non bloggers do not appreciate how lucky they are to be able to go  home and wear they make up straight away!

4. When you're out for a meal and don't let anyone start eating until you've taken a photo for Instagram.  I know you're hungry but I need to show my followers what I'm about to eat and then make it look even better by putting a filter and a zillion hashtags on it, obv.

5. When someone makes a simple remark about needing some new sunscreen and you go into a long explanation of the importance of SPF and which products are ideal for your face and skin type.  You find yourself being stared at blankly and then wishing you had saved this conversation for a twitter chat instead.

6. Resting Bitch Face.  I know this isn't exclusively a blogger problem, but I've only heard this particular term used with bloggers so I'm including it here!  I have one of those faces where I look serious/cross even when I'm happy and relaxed.  That's just how my face is; I'm (probably) not thinking evil thoughts about you, and asking 'what's up with you?' is a good way to trigger my proper bitch face off.  For bloggers however, Resting Bitch Face can prove handy for such things as FOTDs, Instagram selfies and to show what a product looks like on.

7. Waiting for the weather to be good, looking around shiftily and then posing for an OOTD photo, as shown in the above photo.  Such activity is stressful and can often end with hundreds of photos on your memory card that all look the same, curious looks from the neighbours, arguments with bemused other halves who have been forced into taking the photos and excessive worrying that the photos give away that you've had one or two Dominos Pizzas in the last couple of weeks.

I could go on and on, but make sure to let me know if you have any! xx
