HIGH END VS HIGH STREET | HIGH END FAVOURITES

As much as my bank account hates me for it, I can't help but love buying new things, especially if those new things happen to come from somewhere like Boots and involve applying to my face!  I have always loved high street brands, especially favourites such as Maybelline and Bourjois where I always go back and repurchase the same trusted products.  Since discovering the world of blogging and reading hundreds of reviews, I have also grown to love the world of high end beauty too, where I make fewer but more considered purchases.

I thought it would be quite interesting to put together a couple of posts looking at my favourite products from the drugstore and the high end beauty counters, since I love both and flick between both regularly.  Today I'm sharing the love for high end, and in the photo above are a few of my favourite indulgences.

First, there is the beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita eye palette, which was a case of love at first sight.  From the gorgeous rose gold packaging to the rich, deep colours, this eye shadow quad is absolutely perfect for making my eyes pop- with a shade for highlighting, and another for making them sparkle.

Then there is the classic YSL Touche Eclat, the radiant highlighting pen that covers under eye circles and brightens the area too.  I use this on my cheek bones and cupid's bow too - it gives a gentle sheen of colour that highlights my features and covers imperfections too.

Another YSL product next, in the form of the little work of art that is the Rouge Volupte lipstick.  These lipsticks are the ultimate treat, the packaging is the classic and beautiful gold, and the product itself is luxurious and extremely moisturising.

I had to include one of the Zoeva brushes!  Another set of beautiful things decorated with rose gold, as well as being absolutely excellent in quality they also look damn good on my dressing table!

Anastasia DipBrow Pomade is my holy grail brow product, and that is not a statement I make lightly!  This little pot of joy has changed the way I have my brows, and I now cannot imagine never using it.  I can't recommend it enough - especially if, like me, you suffer with difficult brows that are hard to tame and need a little help as far as a strong shape goes.

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint is a product that I've already raved about non stop on this blog, but it is for good reason!  I love the finish of it and how it feels so light and weightless on my skin, I recommend it if you suffer from oily combination skin like me.

Finally, my favourite scent - Estee Lauder Bronze Godess!  I am so reluctant to stop using this over the winter, it reminds me of summer and warmer times - the coconut in it is subtle but so dreamy and I really can't imagine not owning this now.

There is my pick of my favourite high end beauty bits - I could add more no doubt but I narrowed it down to a special few!  I will be doing another post on my favourite drug store bits next!
