A week or so ago I was lucky enough to win a competition held on Instagram by Charlotte Tilbury! It was a Valentine's themed comp where you had to upload your favourite red lip look, which I did using her lipstick Walk of Shame - and I was one of the winners, yay! I literally never win anything so this was a huge shock, and to win some of her amazing goodies was a massive bonus.
I won her new Lip Magic, which is a balm, and one of her Matte Revolution lipsticks in the shade Sexy Sienna.
Lip Magic is a balm that has many anti- ageing and healing properties that aim to make your lips look as good as they can and keep them in good condition too. It includes Hyaluronic acid, which acts as a plumper and is found in other skincare products too, and Propolis - an ingredient created by bees which has super healing powers apparently!
I'm not really one to go by names and claims alone, so I tried it out to see if it lives up to what it says. I have to say that so far it very much does! My lips are naturally very dry and this time of year especially they suffer and I am constantly getting them chapped and sore. I have been using Lip Magic for around a week now, every day without fail, and I have most definitely noticed a big difference in my lips. They appear much more hydrated, and somehow the lines on them seem much less noticeable (if that makes any sense!). Of all the lip balms I have used, this one has worked well in the shortest amount of time and makes for a good base for lipstick rather than making it slide off. Another thing you notice about this product straight away is the smell, it is beautiful and floral! It is selling for £25 which is steep for a lip balm product, but I would definitely purchase this when the first runs out, as it is something that I think benefits my particularly dry lips. As it is a pricey product, I would recommend it if you suffer like I do with dry lips.
The lipstick in the shade Sexy Sienna is a beautiful soft coral with peachy gold tones. I already own one lipstick in the range and this one was next on my wishlist, so I was super happy to receive it in the package! I love the shade and it will look great with a bit of a tan and glowing skin.
I'm so happy with these products and feel so lucky to have won them, they are of really high quality and although they are pricey I think that they are a treat and pretty much earn their price tag. Have you tried either of these products? What do you think of them? xx
