My hair takes a lot of crap. It's a vicious cycle of washing it, blowdrying it, straightening it, swearing at it for looking damaged, styling it more to hide the damage, getting cross at myself for causing the damage and then washing it again.
For most of this year, I have retained from using any heat on it: I let it dry naturally (which can take AGES) and I have been trying out different style that don't require any heat styling. This has no doubt been good for it, but at the end of the day I just cannot completely live without straighteners no matter how hard I try! So, to try and restore some kind of health/shine to my mane I have been trying a lot of different shampoos and treatments.
The products that have so far stood out to me are the Dove Advanced Hair Series Pure Care Dry Oil shampoo/conditioner (what a mouthful that is!). They have the classic soft Dove smell which I've always loved, and they make my hair feel ridiculously soft and silky without being bogged down with that feeling you get when there's a lot of products in it. The addition of African Argan Oil beats frizz and keeps all my flyways smoothed down, it is the best shampoo/conditioner combo I have tried in a long time - and from the good old high street too!
Have you tried these products? xx
