Hey!  One of my favourite types of posts to read on other blogs is the Monthly Favourites, I always find something that I just need to have and it is a good way to see what products are popular and worth a try.  Since it is nearly the middle of February now, I couldn’t really call this a monthly favourites so I named it my Current Favourites instead!
Benefit Hoola: This was a recent addition to my make up collection, it’s been around for ages and it was just one of those products that I have never got round to trying.  I’m glad I finally did though, because it is a bronzer that is the perfect shade for my pale skin – not too dark or orange and it can be built up if needed.  I have been using it together with the amazing Illamasqua Cream Pigment to contour my face and especially my cheekbones.  I honestly don’t know what I was playing at before when I was too lazy to bother contouring, I can’t imagine not doing it any more!  This bronzer is great for creating shape in my face, and the bonus is that it isn’t shimmery at all so it looks natural.
Bourjois Mega Liner: This liner was in an offer at Boots, where it came free if I bought two other Boujois products or something, so it wasn’t something that I really intended to get.  I am very loyal to my gel liners these days but this angled felt tip liner has become a serious contender, the shape of it makes it really easy to create a cat flick, and it has great staying power as well as being a really deep pigmented black.
Ted Baker Nail Polish:  Not sure what shade this is because it was part of a set with some gloss that I got for Christmas, but as you can see from the photos it is a deep plum/red shade that I adore.  It has a sheer velvety finish and the colour is gorgeous if you like these kind of deep reds.  It’s not a shade that I would usually have picked up because of the slightly frosted finish, but it really is better than it sounds, the staying power is pretty impressive too- I have so far worn it for three days with no chips.
Clinique Even Better Foundation: I have reviewed this foundation before, but I recently rediscovered it again and have fallen in love with it.  The coverage is medium buildable and the finish is quite sheer and dewy, I have fairly oily skin so I use powder with it on my t-zone.  I have noticed an improvement in the condition of my skin lately so it’s possibly that switching back to this has helped.
Origins Ginzing Moisturiser: I have recently reviewed this little gem so I won’t say much about it here, but I am loving it and it is proving to be worth every penny of the £23 I paid for it!  It has a lovely fresh citrus smell like oranges, and the consistency is light and ideal for my combination skin- this is definitely a repurchase I think!
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder:  This was a bit of a powder splurge at around £18, but I have been using it solely for under my eyes after applying concealer to set it, so it will last me forever hopefully!  I love it because like it suggests in the name, it brightens the area, sets make up and most importantly doesn’t sink in to any tiny lines in the area.  I suffer with really bad dark circles and using this along with my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer they are the perfect combo for hiding them whilst not looking cakey.  A definite must have if you have the same problem as me.
What have you been loving lately? xx
