Hey!  Two posts in as many days, what is wrong with me?!  I took the photos for this post yesterday and I really wanted to share this bunch of products asap as I'm really enthusiastic about all of them right now.  As I said in my post yesterday, I have been really good lately and not bought very much make up at all: these few products are pretty much it and I bought them over the space of a few weeks so I think that's quite an achievement!

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tanning Mousse:  I have seen quite a few rave reviews on this self tan, so when my beloved Dove gradual tan ran out I decided to give this one a whirl.  I was quite apprehensive at first because I'm so pale and usually only gradual tanners will look remotely natural on me, but this mousse has really pleasantly surprised me.  It came with a free tanning mitt, which makes it SO quick and easy to apply, and leaves your hands free from the dreaded tan stains!  I leave it on for varying amounts of time before washing off, but generally I stick to the recommended one hour, and I'm left with a really natural golden bronze tan and doesn't even have the slightest hint of orange!  Considering it's not specifically for fair skin, I was so happy that it looks ok on me!  The application is even so there are no horrible marks - I usually always get the awful tan wrists, but not this time.  The smell is ok too, there are better scented ones out there I think but this one definitely isn't unpleasant either, there's no whiff of biscuits etc. - phew!  I really recommend this tan if, like me, you aren't an expert self tanner and you want something quite subtle and natural.

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in 'Rose Hip':  Another Barry M polish to add to my collection!   This one is a very pale, off-white pink which I love.  I can see this being a very popular shade over summer, it looks amazing with a tan and the high shine is amazing as ever - one of the main reasons why I keep going back to good old Barry!

L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make Up Remover:  I am loving this product right now; I'm not usually one for having a separate remover for my eyes, micellar water is my regular go-to for my whole face.  However, this suits my sensitive eyes much better, it removes mascara much quicker (apart from waterproof) and it doesn't leave them with any redness at all.  I only use very little product on a cotton pad and it gets everything off almost straight away!

Tanya Burr Lipgloss in 'Picnic in the Park':  Oh my god - this is the perfect lipgloss.  I'm not just saying that as a fan of Tanya Burr either, it really is one of the best formulas I've ever tried and I'm pretty annoyed at myself for not ordering more.  I'm sure most of you have tried some of Tanya's products out already and know how good they are, but I thought I'd throw my thoughts into the mix as well!  The gloss glides on incredibly smoothly with a neat little applicator, and the colour is so so pretty.  It's a girly, bubblegum pink shade that has an amazing high shine that makes my lips look flawless.  It's quite hard to explain but it doesn't sink in to any of the little lip lines either, and doesn't dry them out either.  Most importantly (to me - #longhairproblems) it isn't sticky - no hair stuck to face for me, whoop!  If you haven't got one of these glosses already, then you really need to try them out asap!

VO5 Heat Protect Spray:  I like the smell of this spray, some of the heat protectors I use are so strong that they over power my perfume!  I am trying to use as little heat on my hair as possible at the moment, but when I do I have been using a spritz of this to help save it from any damage that styling can cause - split and damaged ends are my main hair problem, so an effective spray like this is a must for me.

Have you tried any of these products?  What have you been loving this week? xx

NEW | CLARINS RADIANCE-PLUS GOLDEN GLOW BOOSTER

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster; £18.00

Hey!  My latest beauty splurge was on this new release from Clarins - a brand I must admit I rarely buy from, but not for any particular reason.  I have looking around for something to add a bit of natural colour to my face, being ridiculously pale I find it hard to find products that don't look orange or completely fake so when this was recommended to me I was really intrigued.

The product is in liquid form, rather than cream like the popular Clarins face tanner.  The idea is that you mix two to three drops in with your moisturiser and apply as normal to your face.  This really appealed to me because I would have a certain amount of control of how much I used and how light/dark it turns out.  I have started out by using two drops, to see how natural it looks against my natural complexion, and I have to say I am pretty impressed!  It is pretty subtle, so don't buy this if you are expecting a dark tan!  It is perfect for me, because it looks like a natural light bronze tan on my face and it blends perfectly with my daily moisturiser.  I would say that it is best to wear this with a light bar if any, putting a full coverage foundation over the top will just cover it up and you won't know that it's there.

I am really pleased with this product so far, if the weather gets any warmer and I'm feeling brave then I may even add another drop...I'm so wild! hahah.

Have you tried this product?  Does it sound like something you would like? xx

What I Bought This Week #7

DSC_0271

Heyy!  As you can see this isn’t my largest haul..!  I have been very careful with my money over the last month as I am saving ready for my holiday in August.  The scallop top was actually bought a little over a week ago now, but hey ho!
The Primark top is lovely and sheer, very light and summery and I know that I will be living in it come holiday time!  It fits nicely into my monochrome collection too so that’s a bonus.

The scallop top from Topshop was found alone amongst a rail of sale items.  I had to have it because the edging is different to the normal and adds a feminine touch to what would be a standard vest type top.

L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Mist.  Well I had run out of my trusty Cocoa Butter tan, and being the fickle beauty blogger I am, I tried something different rather than sticking to what I know!  I have used this today so as I type I am waiting to see the results!

Not an amazing haul like I said, but I have been very strict with myself lately!  What have you been buying this week? xx
