Products I’ve Used Up #2

DSC_0461
So this isn’t the largest selection of empties ever seen on a blog post…but if I’m honest, it actually takes me a loooooong time to use products up because I am one of those annoying people (or great people if you work for Boots) that buys new things before the older products have run out.  So these are the latest products to have run out in my collection.
First up is the No.7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream.  I bought this with a No.7 voucher a while ago, and I really loved it.  It says that it is ideal for normal to oily/combination skin so I chose it because my skin is very much of the combination variety.  I had bad experiences in the past with night creams, because the general idea of most of them is to keep your skin hydrated over night but this seemed to come at the cost of them being thicker, heavier and ‘greasier’.  To be fair, it was probably down to some of the choices I made, I wasn’t keen on splurging on high end creams just yet because I just think that there is plenty of time for all that!  All I need right now is to keep my skin hydrated without clogging it up and breaking it out, and this product does the trick perfectly.  The consistency is light and it goes on easily and blends to leave my skin feeling silky soft without any build up.  I have already repurchased this cream recently with another No.7 voucher that I had, and for me to purchase the same product more than once is quite a big deal!
Another product that I used up and repurchased straight away is the L’Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution.  I bought this after seeing it get some rave reviews from other bloggers, and anything that is supposed to remove all make up quickly and thoroughly is worth a go in my book.  I am generally quite lazy when it comes to skincare routines, and after a long day at work the last thing I want to do is spend ages removing make up and cleansing/toning/moisturising blah blah blah, I just want to go to bloody bed!  So I used this water-like solution to remove my make up and mascara, and was very pleasantly surprised at how quickly it removes it.  It doesn’t leave you feeling like you have any oily cleanser left on your face either, the consistency is so thin and watery that your skin feels completely naked afterwards and all that’s left to do is moisturise (unless you have a nice fancy serum or something, I’m too tight to buy one…yet).
Last up is the L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Resurfacing Primer.  I really really loved this product, the base it created for my foundation was amazing – my pores have never looked so invisible!  I would definitely recommend this and would love to buy it again, but the one thing that puts me off is the price; it was around £14.99 and as you can see it is only a small little pot, so it is quite a lot of money for such a small amount.
So there are my recent empties!  What have you been using up this month?  Have you tried any of these products?  xx

Drugstore Products I Need in my Life

Hey!  Bit of a dramatic title for this post, obviously I don’t need these products..I just love them very much and feel that they benefit my wellbeing a great deal..!  They are basically products that I have repurchased more than a couple of times, things that have made me feel that I don’t need to try anything else to replace them (yet!).  They are mainly skin/haircare products because I change my make up all the time so it would be impossible to pick from all of those.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical
Well this can is a bit of a lifesaver really.  I sometimes find that in my job I am required to step onto what is called the ‘deli counter’, which is as glamorous as it sounds, and this means I have to squash my poor hair into a hat.  So basically I may have washed my hair that morning, but by the afternoon it is an awful limp mess and this is just the thing I need to perk it up.  It instantly adds volume and refreshes it, as well as smelling absolutely gorgeous.

Mitchum 48hr Deodorant
I have used this deodorant for years now!  It is truly amazing; I can run around, work out (or not..), work up a sweat, you get the idea.  I cannot recommend this enough, you really must give it a go and it lasts forever too!

No.7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream
I always repurchase this when I have one of those No.7 vouchers.  It is for normal to oily skin so it suits mine well and leaves my skin feeling really soft.  I don’t know how it compares to some of the popular high end brands out there, but I definitely have no complaints about it and would recommend it if you are on a budget but also wants something that’s effective and does its job.

Clean and Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion
Another thing that I have been using for absolutely ages!  I use this to get rid of any make up that’s left on after hot cloth cleansing, and it is one of those products that ‘feel’ like they are working.  This feels so refreshing on my skin and leaves it feeling completely clean and smooth.

Revlon Lip Button in Tutti Frutti
This is a bit of a cheat because I had one of these and it has VANISHED.  I was distraught and had to buy it again as I love it so much.  The coral colour is my very favourite and it does my lips good as well as making them look the part!

Mark Hill Extreme Heat Protection Spray
I have used a lot of different heat protection sprays in the past but this is one that I keep going back to because it is really effective at stopping any heat related frizz, and it smells amazing!
