What’s In My Handbag?

Hey :)  I have had this post planned for a while, but only just got round to taking the photos.  But of course, since then a whole load of these posts of popped up and I’m now something like the 3498598726th person to do it!

Nevermind!  Here it is anyway… the contents of my bag.  I have recently acquired a second hand Louis Vuitton bag which I am using, but this bag I’m showing you is the one I use most as it is the one I use for work.  It is from House of Fraser and it is a gorgeous coral colour and it’s very big with lots of compartments.  I usually get bored of bags pretty quick and love replacing them but I am still in love with this bag as much as I was on the day that I bought it.

My favourite thing in my bag is my organiser from Paperchase.  I bought it recently when I got my new job in Human Resources, and I think it is really cute and every day it reminds me how lucky I am to have progressed from the freezing cold shop floor to the nice warm office!  That sounds pretty sad I know, but believe me after four years of code checking and knowing too much about yoghurts I was more than ready to move onwards and upwards (I started working after my a levels, and went on to college instead of uni hence why I have been there for so long already).

Next there are my make up bits and bobs, I don’t take very much with me as you can see!  The main problem I have is the dreaded shiny t zone so the powder is there for touch ups, and it has a handy mirror in it too.  There is also a No.7 Lipgloss and another by Barry M, both of which I love as they were cheap but have a lovely high shine finish, perfect for work.

My iphone is there of course…complete with owl phone cover!  I don’t particularly think it is the best case ever, but it reminded me of Hedwig from Harry Potter 8-)

Hand gel, well that explains itself really doesn’t it?!  And the Impulse body spray because my perfume is too heavy for my handbag really, so this is great to use every now and then, it smells nice and fresh, and not cheap like some body sprays that you can get!

My pencil case is another recent addition that found its way into my bag when I got my new job.  I LOVE stationary so buying a new pencil case and filling it up is fairly orgasmic for me, and I take it home every day because I’m really precious over it and worry that if I leave it there it will disappear or some of my beloved pens will go missing!  I’m not particularly suspicious of thieves or anything, I’m just weird about doing certain things like that.  Locking and re-locking the office door is another one.  Help?

My keys have a little mousey keyring that I have had since I was about 14 years old.  Bought by a boy who I liked for bloody years but it was the strangest set up ever and I don’t think we ever went out (raging hormones galore at age 14, the smallest things seemed to be the biggest dramas, it was a simpler time), so I have kept it ever since!  The other keyring is from my amazing trip to the Harry Potter studios, it is the symbol of the Deathly Hallows, and believe me I could go on for days about that so I’ll stop right there.

Lastly, there are my iphone headphones.  These come everywhere with me, I really do not know what I would do without them on bus journeys etc.  Currently I’m listening to Lady Gaga’s Applause like  the crazy fan girl I am, and also Bloodhound Gang because they make me snigger and they’re disgusting songs are just so damn catchy!

So there you go!  If you have a post like this then leave me a link, I looooove being nosy and having a look at what people have in their bags! xx

The Day I Found Louis Vuitton at a Car Boot Sale

DSC_0262

Hey!  So while I was on holiday I went to a local car boot sale, since I hadn’t been to one in well over a year.  I never hold out much hope of finding many bargains because I never seem to have much luck!  But low and behold…I found two gems on one stall!

This Louis Vuitton bag was hidden at the back behind a whole load of other stuff, I’ve no idea why anyone would want to keep this beaut hidden but there you go!  I asked to have a look at it and then dared ask how much they wanted for it… and they only wanted £10!  So naturally I handed that over faster than the speed of light, and voila, a Louis Vuitton bag was in my possession!  It is in really good condition too, I obviously gave it a clean and everything, but it looked like it had hardly been used at all so I was ridiculously pleased with with it.  It has a cute little charm on it too, which has some black and gold balls on and some mini keys and a little lock, all as decoration.

On the same stall I then saw this purse, so I casually went over and had a little look at it.  This only cost £3.50, so it would have been rude of me not to buy it wouldn’t it?  This has a little mark on the back of it, but I’ve since pretty much got that off and it is now good as new!  It is a simple design, but I’m really pleased with it, I can only imagine what both of these would have cost if I had bought them new from the shop!

I thought I would share my finds just because I never usually find anything of any interest at car boot sales, and it just shows that you literally can find these little gems anywhere; I never thought in a million years that I would find anything like this at a local car boot, that kinda find only seems to happen to people on ‘Bargain hunt’!

Have you ever found any amazing bargains at car boot sales before? xx

What I Bought This Week #2

What I Bought This Week #2

Hey!  Please note that these rather extravagant purchases (for me anyway) were made because I was caught up in the event that was Payday, a joyous occasion that comes round every month and causes me to spend most of what I was paid in one go and live off nothing for the next four weeks.  It’s a vicious circle but I see no end to it just yet as I am so bad at controlling my spending.
Anyhow, I ended up at Westfield this weekend, which resulted in the above purchases.
H&M Leather Look Gilet (£14.99)
I could not believe that this was only £14.99!  I had to look twice because I thought it was a mistake but nope, it really was that cheap.  I had wondered about getting one of these for a while now, and when I saw this and how much it cost, I just went for it and bought it.  I will probably wear this with various t shirts in summer and even over some of my summer dresses that I haven’t bought yet.
Topshop Dungarees (£38)
I’m afraid that this little story does not end well.  I did not try these on in the shop at the time because I really really hate shop changing rooms, I swear that I never look worse than when I am in those things!  So I just picked up my usual size and hoped for the best.  When I got them home and tried them on they fit pretty well, but they shrunk me!  I am only 5’1” and when I put these on for some reason I seemed to shrink down to the height of an average 11 year old.  The shorts part of them also sat right in the middle of my hips, and the pockets are here too and they made me look really wide and more pear shaped than ever :(  So I am afraid that these will have to be returned asap.
H&M Skull Print Lace Top (£7.99)
I bought this because I thought it looked cute and I can see me wearing it over brightly coloured vest tops etc, skulls seem to be a common theme with me lately!
Clinique Even Better Foundation (£23, House of Fraser)
I bought this because I have read some good reviews on it and I thought that for the summer I would like some lighter foundation that looks lovely and dewy but also still gives good coverage.  Apparently this does all of those things, so I will give it a try and expect a review shortly!
Benefit They’re Real Mascara (£19.50, Boots)
I have used this before and was rather impressed with it, so I thought that while I still have the funds I would repurchase.
Tea Tree Water (£3.95, Lush)
This is a toning water that supposedly helps calm your skin down and help fight any breakouts.  The day I purchased this was the day that I noticed some spots starting to form under my skin so I bought this as I wanted something natural to try that wasn’t packed with chemicals, so I shall see if it helps!
Rose Gold Style Skull Necklace (£6.50, Topshop)
Cute, end of!
Linea Bag (£63, House of Fraser)
This was my special present to myself yesterday, it had 20% off so it went straight to the till with me.  I can’t stop looking at it, it is a thing of beauty.  It’s pretty big and there are loads of compartments inside (the inside is pink!) and it looks way more expenive than it was even though to me £63 is expensive and yeah I love it!
So there we have it, some fairly reckless spending straight after pay day.  What have you been buying this week?  Do you splurge as soon as payday comes around?! xx
