REVIEW | Laura Mercier Radiance Primer

Hey!  So during a recent shopping trip (of course), I went on the hunt for a new primer.  I had heard good things about the Laura Mercier Radiance Primer but experience has taught me that what some people love won’t always be right for me, so I opted for the smaller sized tube.  I have been using it for around two weeks so far and I only need a small pea sized amount, so even this smaller size will last me a long time I think.
The consistency is fairly thin and it applies well when I use my fingers, but it sinks in pretty quickly so you have to be a bit swift!  I really like the base it gives me for my foundation, it helps it to last longer without slipping or sliding off of my face.  At the moment I am using it with Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, and it makes my skin a fair bit more healthy looking, like a lit-from-within effect which is of course a good thing!  One of the biggest problems that I have with my skin is that it can look dull and generally unhealthy, and I’ve found that using this primer as a base for the rest of my make up has really helped to perk it up and make it look more glowy.  This Radiance Primer has already become a staple in my make up bag, and I really cannot fault it at all, I would definitely recommend trying this if you are looking for a new primer.
Have you tried Laura Mercier Radiance Primer?  What do you think of it? xx

Review | L’Oreal Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer

Hey everyone :).  Today I’m reviewing L’Oreal Studio Secrets primer.  When I was buying it I picked it up from the shelf and it was the last one there.  I couldn’t find a price ticket for it anyway but, me being me, I took it to the till anyway.  £14.99!!  I was most shocked by the price tag!  I would usually have said ‘actually no I won’t take it’, but this was on payday and I always become reckless on payday.  So I got it home and gave it a go, and I’ve been using it for nearly a week now and I have to say that I’m very impressed.

The texture is quite thick and a bit mousse-like, and you only need to use a small amount of it as well because it goes a long way.  It creates a great base for foundation, and it covers up all my pores around my t-zone which I guess is where the ‘resurfacing’ element comes in.  I would compare the feel of it to Benefit’s ‘The PoreFessional’, but a little thicker.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has, like me, large pores in certain areas or scarring or anything else that may need smoothing over.  If not then I would probably say only get it if you are willing to spend £14.99!
