Oh I do love writing up a good favourites post! As I've been pretty naughty lately and bought more make up than I really need, there have been a lot of new things that I've been loving.
I'll start with this little work of art that is the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in shade 32, which is a fairly soft candy pink colour. This lipstick is so moisturising that it feels more like a balm on application, it is just so soft and gives amazing colour payoff after just one sweep. At an eye watering £25 it was definitely a splurge and a bit of an impulse buy, but I regret nothing! Plus, I know you shouldn't buy anything because of the packaging - but how could I not?! It's gold!
Moving swiftly on from justifying extravagant purchases, the next product I have been loving is a Tanya Burr nail polish in Penguin Chic. This is a lovely stone grey shade that is smart and looks great with work/office wear. I have been wearing it non stop lately, it is a nice variation of nude - rather that being the standard peach tone, it has gone the other way and is a darker nude instead - love it! Next up is the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, which I received in a beauty box a few weeks ago. I have wanted to try this blogger favourite for a long time, and I haven't been disappointed by it - it removes my make up easily and quickly, and the muslin cloth it comes with also provides some gentle exfoliation. I'd definitely be tempted to repurchase this in full size next time. From the same beauty box, I got the Phillip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence Spray which I was really excited about. It provides heat protection against straightening, curling etc and I have been using it religiously! Damage is a big problem with my hair, so I'm really enjoying this product and the helping hand it gives to my poor mane. Lastly there is a drugstore bargain in the form of Superdrug's very own Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream, it cost me less than £3 and the thick and creamy consistency feels amazing and super moisturising on my face. I don't spend as much on skincare as I probably should, especially since I'm not getting any younger (sob), but this night cream is excellent value for money, is ideal for my sensitive/combo skin and keeps it feeling hydrated until the morning.
Have you tried any of these products? What have you been loving this week? xx
That YSL lipstick looks so pretty and the moisturising formula is definitely something that interests me! I will have look into the night cream from Superdrug as it sounds like my dehydrated/combo skin would love it x

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried YSL lipsticks yet but would love to. I'm yet to try Tanya Burr's nail polishes as well. I have her lipgloss and I like it a lot. I must buy Penguin Chic next. It's right up my street. x

I just picked my fifth YSL Rouge Volupte the other day...I definitely don't need another one, but 32 is a beautiful colour...maybe for the Spring? :-)
