I am so happy to finally be writing a spring related post up! It's so nice to wake up when it's already light lately, and I've been switching my make up around to reflect this happy change.
Unless my skin is looking really bad, I always try and go lighter with my base for spring/summer - but since I've had more than a few break outs lately I have played it a bit safe and opted for Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, which still has medium coverage but feels weightless and has a luminous and glowing finish.
My new Blushing Heart blush from I Love Make Up has been my go-to for a bit of colour on my cheeks, it is a budget option at only £4.99 and this is reflected in the slightly poor colour pay off you get; however as I've been going more for a highlighted look, this has been ideal for creating just a slight tint.
Highlighter wise I've been using the Topshop Glow Stick, because it is so quick and easy to use and it gives a dewy sheen to the cheekbones, cupid's bow and brow bone.
I've been giving my No7 Rose Gold eye shadow palette a go too, which will get it's own review soon, and it's a selection of neutral and smoky shadows that are perfect for daytime and for wearing with bright lipsticks!
On my lips I have been loving my Tanya Burr lip glosses, especially the shade Picnic in the Park which to me is just the definition of a summery lip colour. The juicy pink colour pops on the lips and the high gloss but non sticky finish really sets off this whole look.
I'm sure I will be experimenting and changing looks more times than this throughout spring, but for now I'm pretty happy with this little bunch of products! What have you been wearing lately? Do you use any of these products? xx
You look stunning here! Such a beautiful and subtle makeup look that's perfect for spring!
