So I'm feeling kind of shy right now, blogging for the first time after a longer break than I planned to take! I decided to take a total break from blogging and Twitter near the end of February when things in real life suddenly started happening and turned everything a bit upside down! I didn't want to stop blogging but there has been so much going on that it just hasn't been possible and I couldn't concentrate anyway, so I just took a big step back. Being the Cautious Carol that I am, I can't say much more in the post but I really hope to in the next few weeks, as it's kind of a big deal (I hate to be cryptic, it's so annoying of me but I assume that no one's that bothered anyway!).
Annnnyway, I'm back now and more than ready to start writing again! I've still got so many blogs to catch up on too, so I can't wait to have a good read and no doubt add a good few things to my wishlist! I'm starting off with another Shopping My Stash post today; I've been trying to buy less make up lately and use up what I already have, and so far I think I'm doing pretty well. I've managed to resist quite a few new releases, many of which haven't really appealed to me anyway: Am I the only blogger not to be excited about the MAC Cinderella collection?! It just does not appeal to me whatsoever and the packaging does nothing for me either - give me something gold and shiny any day!
I've been reaching for my Clinique Even Better foundation lately, I love the dewy finish it gives and have been favouring this type of base over the more heavy matte kind as we head slowly into spring. Over this I've been sweeping another old favourite, the Maybelline Fit Me powder, which I've always loved mainly because it is one of the only powders to not oxidise on my pesky t zone. This has gone straight back into my handbag ready for any touch ups that may be needed throughout the day! Another powder I've been loving is the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder, which I use under my eyes to set my concealer. The light reflecting properties help conceal my dark circles, and best of all it doesn't sink in to any little lines around my eye area. I've been loving Revlon lately for my lips; the Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti is a gorgeous juicy orange, and the Matte Balm in Elusive is a nude pink that looks great with a simple spring look. I've also been creating a more natural eye look with my Lord & Berry eyeliner, which is brown and is softer under the bottom lashes than black .
What make up have you been using lately? Do you love any of these products? xx

I've had that Maybelline powder stashed in my draws for donkeys and still never used it yet! Going to have to dig it out. Really excited for summer so I can wear more lip butters etc, I don't wear them much in winter x

Welcome back! I'm definitely with you on the Cinderella collection, everything just looks so insipid and beige and I can't believe the Debenhams fuss that happened today when people couldn't buy the products x
