Primer is probably the one part of my make up routine that I regularly forget about - especially when I am in a hurry! However, it can make a real difference to the way that the rest of your base applies, and can even out the skin. I've had generally bad luck with the various different primers that I've tried, they have either been too oily and broke my out or not really made much of a difference at all.
I bought this GOSH primer when I was browsing my local Superdrug, and decided to give it a whirl. At £13.99 it's not particularly a budget buy, but it's pretty good when compared to the prices of the more high end primers.
I've been using it for a couple of weeks so far, and I'm pretty impressed - impressed enough to remember to use it every day! I picked this one in particular because I had a bit of a panic and decided I needed the 'anti-wrinkle' option, and I have to say that I haven't seen anything to really make it worthy of this title yet. I didn't really have any expectations of that anyway to be honest, so it's no disappointment! It feels really silky soft on application, and a little goes a long way too. I apply it to my t zone, chin and forehead mainly, and it goes on and leaves a velvety matte base, which makes blending in my foundation and concealer a dream! I've also noticed that my pores look much better and even with this on, so that is the main reason I've been making sure to use it every day. I once used a sample size of the Benefit Porefessional primer, and I find it to be really similar in texture and finish.
If you're looking for a new primer then I'd definitely recommend giving this one a go, although don't expect it to show any amazing 'anti-aging' properties!
Have you tried this primer? Do you use them regularly? xx
I love pore fessional so if it's similar it's definitely something I want to give a go! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely something I'll have to keep my eye out for in the future, I'm yet to try anything from GOSH, for some reason I just always skip the stand in Superdrug! Definitely going to make more of an effort to browse their product line now though! Thanks for sharing!

I have a few primers in my collection but since none have impressed me I am the exact same and tend to forget about them. Will definitely look into this as it sounds like a good option especially for the price x

I might give this a go, my Porefessional is going to run out soon and I like that this is quite similar! x

I use a simple Rimmel primer which I find really good but this sounds pretty good too - I may give it a try. Thanks for sharing xx
