CURRENT BEAUTY FAVOURITES | #8

Happy St George's Day! *sings national anthem and other patriotic things*  And also Happy Birthday to William Shakespeare, who happened to die on his birthday too.  Incase y'all wanted to know that.  Which on a beauty blog you probably didn't.

Moving swiftly on, today's post is all about the latest beauty bits that I'm loving!  I have been having a crap couple of weeks so in my world this means I deserve to buy things I don't really need and not feel guilty about it at all.

I have to say that I did feel a little swoop of guilt when I bought the Bumble & Bumble City Swept Finish spray as it set me back an eye watering £21.50 - considering it is a spray and won't last for too long!  However, I was in a spending kinda mood so whatever - and actually I really like it and since I've have layers put back in my hair it really adds shape and a messy, lived in look.  I find this is a good spray to go for when I have just washed my hair, usually I hate first day hair as it's a bit blah and fluffy, but this sorts it out and gives it a gentle, non-frizzy windswept look.

Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster is my saviour for giving my pale skin a natural tan on my face.  This is an ideal facial tanner for fair skin because you mix it in with your moisturiser, and therefore control how much you use depending on how much of a golden glow you want.  I think this was £19 and as I only use a couple of drops at a time, I know that it will last for a very long time.

Next up, the lipstick I'm currently wearing on a daily basis is MAC Creme Cup, which goes nicely with my newly tanned face!  This is a pale pink/nude shade that has slightly blue undertones - something which I usually stay clear of, but for this lipstick I make an exception.

I recently reviewed the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing nail paints, and my current favourite shade is Do it Like a Nude, which is a super pale, creamy beige/white which looks so good with the gel-like topcoat that it could almost pass for a professional job!

Last up is a bargain and an excellent dupe all rolled into one: the £4 Make Up Revolution eyeshadow palette that has shades that are all remarkably similar to the Naked 3 palette!  I have used both, and can definitely say that this is a really good drugstore alternative; the shades are well pigmented and there's pretty good colour payoff too.

So there we are, my current beauty favourites with a little bit of my nerdish-ness thrown in!  What have you been loving lately?  Have you tried any of these bits? xx
